An unexpected but exceptional experience for our first visit. Pleasant staff, great food, and a lighthearted atmosphere all came together in ease with the online reservation and proximity parking. Highly recommend Acacia for any celebration, or a simple evening out.

This was our first visit to Frederick, so checked out other restaurants before I chose Acacia, and SO glad I did! This was FABULOUS! It was a busy Saturday in the town, since it was their big May festival, but that did not stop the kitchen from preparing a wonderful entree. We both chose the scallops upon recommendation from out waitress and it was a winning suggestion. The were perfectly cooked, large in size, served on a bed of pureed sweet potatoes, watercress, quinoa and with a mustard butter sauce. The flavors melded together incredibly well. It is now our gold standard for scallop entrees. Would love loved dessert, but after a salad and delicious bread, there was no room. Will be back next time we are in the area.

Acacia was amazing, from the creative food to the impeccable service, our recent dinner was one of the most memorable evenings in years. The jagerschnitzel was better than any I've eaten at German restaurants across the country and my wife also raved about her rainbow trout. There's something for everyone at Acacia.

Although long-time Frederick residents, this was our first dining experience at Acacia. We were treated so professionally and warmly, they accommodated my last minute birthday celebration for my wife and provided personalized menus and a special table. The service was engaging but not intrusive. The food, as I anticipated, was outstanding. Thank you for a dining pleasure. We will be back.

Acacia offers flavorful fusion in Frederick

It has been awhile since Pap Ricka and I ventured outside of Washington County in search of a good dinner.

So recently we were joined by some friends and headed into downtown Frederick, Md., to see what was there. We spotted several interesting places but settled on Acacia Fusion Bistro as our choice.

Acacia is located on North Market Street and is a short walk from the Church Street parking garage across the street.

It is in an old building, which might have been a shop of some sort at one time with big windows in the front.

You enter into a bar area, which was very lively and energetic the night we were there. We were greeted and ushered to the dining area passing through a small dining room into the larger one in the back.
